Arkyyoter Game Calls (Main Page)

I started making calls as a hobby in my "shop", a huge barn behind the house. It has grown into much more than that. I have since built a new shop building, of which I am very proud.

Each call I make is hand tuned and approved by my dog Sassy. She knows when they sound just right :) Everything I build is by hand. Even my semi-production calls are assembled and tuned by me before they are ready for the "Arky" name. One of my greatest pleasures is hearing customer success stories of predators killed with one of my calls. That's what keeps me making more.

I have been told I was born with a gun in my hand. I have hunted and fished all my life. I have grown most especially fond of calling predators, almost to the point of that being the only hunting I do. I find it to be the most challenging and satisfying hunting I have ever experienced. That's why I find it so rewarding to be a part of my customers' success in the field.

I have always been an "outdoorsy" kind of guy and enjoyed everything from camping to hiking and fishing. It didn't take very long after my retirement as an Arkansas State Trooper until I realized that I needed to acquire some new hobbies to keep myself busy. At first I started building things with wood, refinishing antique furniture and making some small furniture pieces. As it became easier and easier to handle the wood and machines, I thought I would combine one of my loves, hunting, and my newly acquired wood-handling skills. Soon a call business was born.

Arky calls have evolved over time from run-of-the-mill novice game calls into calls that I am proud to call my own. This couldn't have been done without the help of my customers. Thank you for your interest and support.
